Flat Rock Park
Flat Rock Park, which is located on the Schuylkill River in Gladwyne, covers 24 beautiful acres. There’s a walking path, spectacular landscaping where you can picnic under towering trees, and a newly improved boat launch.
Shortridge Park
The 12.3-acre Shortridge Park in Wynnewood has several beautiful areas where you can spread out a picnic blanket and enjoy the beautiful fall colors.

Vernon V. Young Memorial Park
The Vernon V. Young Memorial Park in Ardmore, which spans 5.2 acres, has plenty of amenities in addition to great picnic areas. You’ll find baseball and softball diamonds, a basketball courts, illuminated tennis courts, a volleyball court and a kids’ playground with a tot lot. There’s also a swimming pool and built-in BBQ grills.
Gulley Run Park
The 7.2-acre Gulley Run Park in Narberth has picnic tables and BBQ grills, but that’s not what makes it the perfect picnic spot – it’s the mature trees and shady spots where you can see the sun peeking through as you relax on the grass.
