American Swedish Historical Museum

Dr. Amandus Johnson founded the American Swedish Historical Museum in 1926 to commemorate Swedish contributions to the United States. The museum itself sits on land that was once part of a land grant from Queen Christina of Sweden to colonist Sven Skute.
The ASHM has several amazing exhibits up right now, including Sami – Walking With Reindeer, which chronicles the day-to-day lives of modern Sami lives. The museum also holds several fun events for the public. You can check out their calendar here.
American Helicopter Museum & Education Center

The American Helicopter Museum & Education Center focuses on the history, science and technology involved in rotary-wing aviation with a mission to preserve, educate and inspire.
The museum has several permanent exhibits and many aircraft on display. The Cobra Simulator, Aerovelo Atlas and the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital exhibits are some of the most popular, but you can check them all out here.
Wharton Esherick Museum

The Wharton Esherick Museum used to be Wharton Esherick’s studio – but today it houses Pennsylvania’s most famous collection of wood furniture and sculptures by the artist. You can check out current exhibitions and programs here.
The Historic Grange Estate
143 Myrtle Avenue, Haverton

The Historic Grange Estate is a living history museum in a spectacular estate born in about 1700. The home grew over the span of a century, owned by a series of Philadelphians, and now encompasses the entire estate on a hillside just above Cobbs Creek. The mansion and several outbuildings have been carefully preserved for centuries.
Main Line Art Center

The Main Line Art Center is a spectacular gallery featuring contemporary exhibitions that celebrate local artists. The center also offers adult, teen and kids’ classes that support its mission of inspiring and engaging people of all ages, abilities and economic means.
