Great Features of Living on the Philadelphia Main Line – #2

From my home, it takes 5 minutes to walk to Lancaster Avenue in the center of Bryn Mawr to great restaurants Chinese, Indian, Thai, BYOBs, a Hookah Bar, the famed Bryn Mawr Film Institute (Now playing Black Swan & The King’s Speech), a local Milkboy for coffee, tea and live music and the library. (Yes, people still go to libraries in the internet age, if only to go on the internet!)

What is so amazing about the Main Line are the neighborhoods, like Wayne, Ardmore, Narberth and Bryn Mawr where you can find great Main Line homes for sale that are within close walking distance to the town centers. Wayne also has a movie theater, pubs, artsy little stores, clothing shops and great food. Narbeth has a movie theater, a Patisserie Francais, Le Petit Mitron, and a large playground with indoor and outdoor ball fields.

Ardmore has a Milkboy, fine restaurants, see our previous blog and of course, Suburban Square with its Apple store, Williams Sonoma, the Farmer’s Market, Trader Joes and Urban.

There are terrific places to live on the Main Line that still give you that small town feel!
